Old Childhood Diary Entry For Friday September 22, 1995

Friday September 22, 1995

Dear Don Quixote,

Today I walked so much that my feet have blisters, I have a sunburn and legs hurt. I am in terrible pain. I still had a very good time, though. Birds fed of my hand, I drank mountain water, I got pictures of Geribaldie Lake and Cinder Flats, thought I didn’t go there. I stayed behind with Jamie and the constable to rest my feet for 2 hours. It was fun! I was so tired at the end that I was the last one to come back to the parking lot. By that time, I was in tears and tripping all over the place. I got back to school at 8:40 pm and biked back home. One more thing I forgot to mention, I had lunch at the meadows and supper at the lake. Well, now it’s time to bed. Good night. Love, Tara Kimberley Torme

MEMOIR BYTE 102

MEMOIR BYTE 102

It’s 1989. I’m in grade five at Roslyn Elementary. Mr. Barta is my teacher. He’s the best teacher I’ve ever had. In that class we go on a lot of field trips. We study University level poetry. We learn about voting & politics. We read the paper & learn current events. We keep a journal. One day we take a field trip to Westmount Hall to see a play. It’s Peter Pan. I sit next to Mr. Barta. He’s impressed with my Theatre knowledge of the word intermission. I love the play. I go back twice more to see it. I see it with some children I babysit. I also go back on my own. I’m in my own world when I see the play. It’s become one of my favorite stories to this very day. Thank you Mr. Barta.

Reflection For Sunday October 30, 2022

Sunday October 30, 2022

Today the Archbishop of Vancouver was a celebrant @ todays 9:30 am Mass. He was there to make the new pastor @ St. Mary’s church official. The Knights Of Columbus were in snazzy suits/uniforms with real live swords. The Archbishop wore a funny looking pointy hat. And I shook his hand when I left the church to go back home for the day. I will never forget today.

Sunday October 16, 2022

Dear God,

Restore all my cell phone service. Get all messages sent to me. Let me be able to call people again. Let me be able to text. Get me a good decent cheap phone plan. Let me be able to keep my phone number. Make things normal. Restore everything. I want my phone back again. I want to text. I want to take pictures, I need my phone for work. I need my phone for medical. I need my phone for personal. Help me out. I give it all to you for you to deal with. In your hands. Please listen to my prayer.

To God For Sunday October 16, 2022

Sunday October 16, 2022

Dear God,

Why are we playing God by trying to fix the planet? Why does mankind want to introduce invasive species into places where they do not belong? And why do they complain after the fact when the mess has been made? Why does mankind think they can control the environment when it clearly is not the case? Don’t they know the planet has a mind of its own? Why is mankind set on a path of just destructing the entire planet? Are we doomed to a destroyed planet? Is there any hope @ all? Can you answer, God? God?
