FICTION PROMPT
Last week, news surfaced that a glitch in Apple’s FaceTime group-chatting feature was allowing someone placing a video call to eavesdrop on another person through their phone’s microphone even if the call went unanswered. Write a short story that begins with your main character inadvertently catching something not meant for her eyes or ears through a video call. Does she pretend it didn’t happen, force a confrontation, or figure out a way to turn it to her advantage?
Old Diary Entry For Sunday February 10, 1991
Sunday February 10, 1991
Nothing much happened today. It was a totally boring day. I did my homework. I never got a chance to practice my violin or do my public speaking or write my play or do my rough draft of my letter to the Chief of Indians. I will bring them with me to work tomorrow. I will also start locking this diary up again for I am bringing it to school when we move. I will not take chances. Tomorrow we go to Aqua Tropical to get some medication for Ivory’s fins. I hope my fish don’t die. It is lonely as it is. I have to go now but before I do, I would like to say that if I don’t practice violin, my violin will be sold. Bye, for now. Cowabunga Dudes!
Reflection For Saturday January 27, 2024
Saturday January 27, 2024
Today my bladder woke me up @ 4:16 am so I changed my sheets & I got dressed before getting onto the computer by 5 am. I had a ton of back up Social Media posts I need to make. And I cleaned my room before I chilled out for the rest of the day. I’ve printed some words to be cut up & put into a jar so people @ work can pick one for their inspiration & look up the word @ their leisure. I aim to challenge the minds of others & inspire them to expand their vocabulary for themselves. I want others to love words like me.
