Dear God,
Why are young ferns called fiddleheads? Why are they not called something else? Why do you only pick them at one time of the year? Why can’t you pick them year round? Why can’t you eat ferns when they are grown? Which ferns can you pick for eating as fiddleheads? Can you eat all fern types? Or is it just a couple of varieties?
